I've found this within a collection that I've inherited. Are there many replicas of these kind of things around? I doubt it's very valuable which would lead me to think that it isn't worth making fakes?

Thanks in advance!

Here is the page on the type:

Republican denarii are very commonly faked. I'll reserve my guess as I am not a collector of them and don't know then well.

How much does it weigh?

I wasn't able to locate a match on any of the fakes reports, so I think it might be a genuine example. I would like to see some better pictures if possible though.
Rest in Peace

Weight would help. I don't see anything immediately suspicious. But there have been some seriously great Roman Republic fakes in the last 30 years.

Obverse may be a match for one at Wildwinds, which should be taken as a good sign. Despite the wear on both, many details, including in the hair, lettering, and even the two conjoined dots of the border at the base of the letter S, seem to match.

Thank you so much for your replies.

It weighs 4g but I only have kitchen scales so don't know how accurate this is.

I've attempted some better photos.
