I took a pretty garbage picture of the reverse of one of these, then forgot to take one of the other one's reverse but I'll try later when I get the coins in hand. I hope these are nice enough to warrant a listing. Thank you guys!

Q/ Given the weakness of the coin at this spot - because of the missing material - why would this crack reflect a defect in the die, and not be a result of the planchet/coin 'breaking' as the dies separate?

These look great, I saw that crack as well that John mentioned and was wondering what the name for it would be. So a few thousand more strikes with this die and it could have completely broken and formed a Cud providing that they didn't retire the die. There are a lot of listings already for the 83"s.

They do, they are pretty elusive, (At least for me!!) Very nice!

I didn't know they were elusive. I find plenty smaller ones all the time, but these were quite large in comparison to them.
