I was hoping for a confirmation before I tout it off for sale to specialists. I have been hoping to cherry this variety for a few years to make a quick buck. Alas, I gave up the hunt, but kept the diagnostics in my head. Then, all of a sudden, I walk into a new coin shop and there she was. Star 8 points at the peak of the cap (obv 1 seen on JR-1 and 2) and the left edge of the scroll is below the serif of the E, JR-2. On JR-1 it is between the E and D. And for final confirmation the upright of the P in Pluribus is well left of the S in STATES. On JR-1 the upright is below the serif of the S. Report this Post to the Staff
johntookit Pillar of the Community United States 589 Posts	Posted 01/16/2017 12:51 pm It was listed as a R-7 but now it is R-5. JR-2 is rare. As many as four are confirmed in grades of EF or better with the finest known in Gem MS. However, most examples are known in grades of VG or lower, and many are damaged or appear damaged due to the obverse die crack and bulge. Report this Post to the Staff
