1869 Stamped Onto Flying Eagle Cent

OldCoinCollections New Member United States 13 Posts	Posted 01/16/2017 09:55 am I have had this Flying Eagle cent just sitting in my collection but I found this forum and decided to post it finally. I just realized that the date stamped onto it is 1869 just backwards, we've spent the last year trying to figure it out until now, but I was wondering what kind of error is this and would could be the potential value to it? The backwards date suggests that someone pressed or pounded another coin against this cent. As counterstamps go, I see this one as a culled maverick to which no meaningful history may be attached.
