This item was part of a batch of Siam / Thailand gaming tokens. When I look closer at it I am more reminded of what I think are Islamic glass weights. Anyone care to opine?

22mm in diamater.

A lighter shade of green.

@paul27613, sorry not my area of expertise. I agree that the inscriptions could be Arabic, but maybe the first pic is upside down? To get this to more eyes, you could consider asking the mods to move your thread over to the unidentified coins/tokens area of CCF.

Try Googling "glass jeton" for some similar. Better yet, try the same term at acsearch.info

Hopefully you may find a match.

My first impression is a Thai gambling token, but I can't make out the writing to confirm what language it is.

I pinged a fellow dealer and he thought it was a Fatimid glass jeton. Possibly a "bilingual type" where the reverse was a Byzantine cross with monograms.

With that as a lead I did find a CNG vaguely close piece here:

Oh. When I reorient the image to more accurately reflect what could be up versus down I am attaching the new image here.

Very cool, I've never heard of Fatimid glass jetons before. There are a few here, apparently there were contemporary counterfeits as well which are collectible:
