Just when I thought I had finished sorting through all of the old coins in my parents' house, I found another box of old coins and tokens, including this one! Based on what I can see, I'm assuming this coin would grade in the good range at best, and therefore probably should remain a piece of jewelry. Thoughts?

Looks G6 or maybe VG8 but you have a couple issues here. first is that is mounted. if you remove it you will most likely see some rim damage, second the coin has been banged around quite a bit from wearing it or against other jewelry in a box. third the coin has been cleaned. she's probably only worth melt as this point so it doesn't make sense to remove it.

Low grade, lots of obverse scratches - yeah, leave it as jewelry.

Good - Very Good Sharpness, but cleaned, especially on the reverse. Sometimes those bezels add marks to the rim, although in this case it would not make a lot of difference.

I think it is more valuable as antique jewelry. You should go to a poker game with it hanging around your neck. When some guy goes all in, you can take it off very deliberately, slam it in the middle of the table and scream call.

I'd say G-06 Details and  it should be left as is, but I think it would make a cool pocket piece Or maybe a key-chain piece!
