That's about 2 pence per coin-essentially wholesale prices. You may have more than 65 pounds worth of silver there. Good deal. I wish that I had been there.

After a long time I went to a local market and picked up the following £6. I got: 1835 Half Anna 1845 East India Half Cent1895 20 qirsh Sudan 1840 5 centimes Canton Geneva 1854 US cent Some modern foreign coins The centimes and qirsh have some silver in them so I guess I can added them to my world silver coin collection.

Nice haul! The US Large Cent alone is worth several times what you paid.

Thanks Finn235 and jbuck. I wasn't sure if this was a good deal but I thought it's a interesting mix of coins and for £6 it's seem a good deal.

It's been a long time since I've added to this thread but I have been selling off all the modern coinage and notes that I brought previously. I reinvested some of the proceeds in the coins below. I think the 1917 2 francs seems like a copy but the other 3 coins seem legit. I really like the 1953 1/4 balboa. I only paid about £7 (about $8.50).

Fairly new foreign coins. You might be able to do a currency exchange and put it towards your spending and profit margins nice clean coins though

I've just come back from a local market today, saw a stall that was selling various coins (most British modern commemoratives). I noticed a bag of foreign coins, which was £5. I could see some Swiss francs coins in the bag, I took a gamble and brought it. I came home and found 2 Mexico 10 pesos coins (1992 & 1993) in the bag. Apparently the Mexico coins may contain silver.
