XF40. Not entirely sure about the color.

EF-40, natural tone, never cleaned.
The rim ding at bottom of obverse wouldn't detail it, but it is a distraction.

Obverse is VF30, reverse XF40, net VF35, details, rim bruise @ K5-K6, reverse appears to have environmental damage (light corrosion/porosity) more noticeable around the motto area, legend, and below the eagle.

VF-35 details. Based on the pictures looks like old cleaning. The rim has been filled/repaired on the obverse under the date.

It grades VF35 from a major TPG, no details. What would be a fair price for this coin? What's the grey sheet value? Looking at numismedia they say around $430 for retail value; PCGS says $525, and NGC says $450.

There is no rim ding, it's a Cud. This exact coin just sold on Heritage for $309. https://coins.ha.com/itm/seated-dol...Lot=1x=0&y=0$309 was a very good price but my concern would be how dark it looks in-hand. Some like dark coins and this look to be a nice example. The buyer had to pay S&H so it was likely $325 delivered. I would not go over $350 for it and would need a return privilege if it's not to my liking when I saw it. Good luck.

Agree split grade example at VF-35 net; no way the obverse makes that. Most attractive original example, I think.

Wow, a Cud it is. That's the first time I've seen a Cud on one of these and it would definitely increase my interest / bid level accordingly. I still don't like how the reverse seems to be pitted, though.
