Looks good except for the surfaces. Your thoughts on grade and problems? Thanks. I think it's been cleaned, but I also think it is very nice. If you think so too, how much of a discount in % would you need to get you to purchase? Yes cleaned - OR maybe a counterfeit copy? Just throwing it out there as there were 286,000 minted and the arrows were almost touching the denticles as this coins arrows are away from them. And the date just doesn't look "right".

This is the Browning-1 (B-1) late die state (LDS). You can tell because:
1. There is no period after "50C" in the reverse. All other varieties have the period.
2. In normal B-1s, the repunched legend of an "O" between the two letters in "OF" would be visible. It is not on this coin, so it is the B-1 LDS variant.

Could be a counterfeit but I think it's genuine with rough, harshly cleaned surfaces. Detail is close to XF but value is way down the scale from there. Die transfer struck counterfeits from China are so common (and good) these days that some get into PCGS and NGC holders. http://www.coinworld.com/news/us-co...its.all.html

The reverse looks like their could be some graffiti. Above the left wing there looks like a M and with an attempt to remove the following letters.

It looks genuine but harshly cleaned to me but I am not an expert.
And yes BH it is scary how good some of the counterfeits are.
