Good evening all. Never was a huge fan of these. Very hard to find fully stuck examples. Common date. So what do you think. Is this a DDO or merely strong Strike Doubling? Thanks!

The Shield series (along with 3CN, 2C & IHC) were notorious for "Longacre" or Strike Doubling, especially on legends and mottos but often on the other features of the coin as well. It has the appearance of a flat, shelf-like doubling. This coin looks about XF40 / cleaned, and with the usual die cracks all over the place - note also that all of the rear stars have the lines clearly visible, a marker for XF.
