Hi, I've searched on here, NGC, shieldnickels.net and Google but can't find any info or similar varieties, and am wondering if maybe it's not a DDO or just unlisted. Any info would be awesome.

Thanks, Bill

Have you considered it being MD ( Machine Doubling) and not a doubled die?

I have, and that's why I made this post plus added pics. I'm not sure if it's Machine Doubling or doubled die. It's strongest at the date, going clockwise gets weaker. I guess I assume Machine Doubling wouldn't do that.

So are you saying you think it's machine?

I think it is MD. Give it a bit for a few pros to chime in.

Before 1907 you need to ignore the date when you're evaluating if it is a doubled die, the dates were added later. What I'm seeing on your coin looks like Machine Doubling Damage (MDD)

If it is a true DDO, it's most likely an FS-010 from what I can tell. It's listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide, and here is a link to PCGS's Coin Facts photo: http://www.PCGScoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/38399
