Small token, and looks to be aluminum.

I searched around online for awhile and couldn't find a match -- so I assume it was most likely a store token for a local business. If the token hasn't traveled too far from it's point of origin, you might be able to find out something at a local historical society or library.

I did some googling as well, to no avail. I agree that it probably is a token, either for a business or some sort of transportation system (e.g., metro or bus).
