This doesn't appear in my SCWC, could it be a proclamation piece? Silver. 20 mm, 3.4 gr.

Thanks. That's what happens when you run out of paper coin envelopes to write on. (And old age too)

I have a small collection of token/medals from Peru, Columbia and Bolivia.

Although, when I look at my post from five years ago, I'm still no closer to identifying it.

I wonder: could this be a fake? It is suppose to be dated 1856, and I could find two sites with this type of coin/medal on it (found here and here (it is near the bottom of that last link, and is written in Spanish)). The details do not look right—especially the hat above the book, and the thing the person is holding—and the weight seems too light. Now, I do not know much when it comes to counterfeits, so hopefully someone else has some input on that.

Looks like a Bolivian proclamation coin. It's hard to find complete listings of these, but there is a book out threre devoted to them.

I'd be really interested in the book as I have quite a few Melgarejo proclamation pieces.
