Too bad its not on line auction, have done some through this outfit before, but prefer other outfits. Would really have drooled over some of it!

Wishing you luck. Coins at auctions sell for stupid money (retail++++) here in Ohio. Depending on the commission and what you are selling, public auction might be a superior alternative to selling to local coin dealers.

Thanks guys. I was surprised to see the pics are already done when I looked tonight.
He puts them up on screen for the bidders to see in the peanut gallery when each lot comes up for bid.
I really have no control now but to sit back and enjoy.
Some will be crazy high and others will go cheaper than they should by a lot. In the end it will all work out.

I see a lot of Prestige proof sets that I do not have!

Oh, boy, if I had the means.

By the way, when this goes live, we will have to move this thread to the promotion section. For now it is just eye candy.

I like that there are so many lots that your auctioneer/you had to resort to hand numbering (and lettering). Now THAT'S an auction.

I numbered and set up the flow of lots myself. Tried to keep the bidders awake in little sprees of like things, then a few key dates or better coins. Shift to Canadian stuff, back to US etc.
That way they may stay for the next round of stuff they like or missed out on. It kind of goes in circles if you know what I mean.

I don't think it is able to be bid on unless you are in the hall. He won't ship lots.

No idea ... maybe I'll have a little contest when this is done to what my settlement check was and who guesses closest. I know I wouldn't win best guess.
Yeah, I think I will. I don't care and have no expectations.
I'll get what it gets. The auctioneer certainly wants to make money so he will do his best.
It is a relief to be getting rid of them. I need a new riding mower ... hope I get enough for that and can give as much in cash to my wife. What kind of mower will depend on the settlement huh?
I have had whole auctions to myself in the past, antiques and such. I don't miss any of that stuff.

Well, I care but still have no expectations. Honest. Hopes? maybe, but I don't want to be disappointed.

Do you know what your cost basis is? I don't want to know the amount -- I'm just curious about how carefully you tracked your purchases over your many years of collecting.

Not really, I could guess it was considerably more than what I am going to get.
I do have a rough non-emotional guess myself how this may turn out.
I think I am going to take a terrible beating on the UK and Canadian lots.
They weren't doing me any good pretending they were worth more than what people will pay and I don't have the time and energy to squeeze out all I could selling them myself.
I will get a fine lawnmower though. This makes me happier than having this stuff piled up and driving me crazy.
When the listing catalog is done and a date is set in a week or so, I am going to have a fun little contest regarding the net amount on my settlement check.
