Going through some of my older paper money and came across one of my 1963B dollar bills and noticed it was a miscut, it's in fair-good condition. Was wondering if this was a common error or worth getting graded?

Thanks
Rest in Peace

It may be well within printing tolerance since all of the print is there, I just thought it was misaligned enough.

Welcome to CCF.

Your note would be considered poorly centered and not a cutting error.

To be considered a cutting error, a portion of the adjacent note must be within the margin, as this sample.

Its real close to being a miscut, but being really close only works in horseshoes and hand grenades. Its still a cool bill though! I'd keep it for fun~

Steve's note, a great example, is most instructive being about the narrowest margin imaginable that qualifies as a cutting error. Dramatic examples were not uncommon on large size national bank notes from a century ago, which were often cut by hand after the sheets had been delivered to the bank itself - see ebay 121600949641 as an example.
