Well two can play at that game. They got the mint mark slightly out of position on yours. They perfected on mine. Found this one a couple of weeks ago. Don't know why I still have it.

Ah well, if you really want those later models where they started to figure out where they would put the P, so be it. I like the early experimental ones where they were still working out the location.

Ok I give up. It looks like it took them about 100 years to finally settle upon a logical location.

Bugtussle sounded so familiar, but I couldn't place it. So ... Wikipedia to the rescue!

Quote:
Bugtussle and Bug Tussle may refer to a community in the United States:

Bug Tussle, Alabama (rural district)

Bugtussle, Kentucky (rural district)

Bugtussle, Oklahoma (unincorporated community)

Bug Tussle, Texas (rural district)

Bugtussle, the fictional hometown of the Clampett family in the CBS sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies

Ah ha! Now I know why it sounded so familiar.

I knew that wasn't completely out of left field! Thanks for noting the Clampetts. Every time I find myself at a home with an in-ground swimming pool, I revert to "ceeement pond."

The 1911 P Liberty V nickel...with mintmark!

I can't believe I have seen it with my own eyes in person on the computer!

I think it would make cents if that V nickel was the main picture for some coin shop's letter head.

How much squash could a Sasquatch squash if a Sasquatch would squash squash?
