It doesn't match the doubled die listed on copper coins. It looks like you could have some Machine Doubling. It's definitely a rpm. But you'll have to determine which one. Copper coins has 84 listed for that year and mint, so knock yourself out: http://coppercoins.com/diesearch.ph...=mmom&page=0

Thanks, crazy! I clicked through the first few pages, but I wasn't going to make it all the way down to 80. I actually missed the split upper serif in OP's post because I had my laptop angled in a way that obscured it, so I might not have ID'ed correctly anyway.

The location is incorrect on the 1961D-1MM-079. It looks more like the CONECA 1961-D RPM-063 to me

So how did I find it so quickly? When Druu mentioned it was not on that site, I wrote down the numbers of the missing images on coppercoins. Then matched them to the Variety Vista site. It was the last one on the list, but when I looked at the MD on the date and the MD on the mint mark at the same angle. I knew it wasn't a factor on the coin. So I concentrated on the left side of the mint mark. Location was close, then I discovered that the CONECA image was too short, or khasil's coin was too tall. Then I matched it up. The marker on the rim is visible on the his coin. (just barely there though.
