I really enjoyed everyone's contributions this week while traveling in Zurich. Now that I am back home I can post mine and thereby bring down the average grade of our Large Cents.  Here is my 1843:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

I'd be happy to pop a Large Cent out of the ground in any condition, even that one, and it looks like that's where it came from. :)

I guess in my earlier days of collecting I must have sought out every ebay auction with a ground find or red-haired step child details coin minted in the US. It is nice to have so many dates now, but perhaps this can be a warning to those just getting started that rather than just filling holes, you should consider purchasing coins with fewer problems.
