I found a bunch of coins today and a really nice ring. To bad they were under the seats of my Blazer. I have a rod knock in the engine, so I am pulling out the seats and putting them in my 1957 Chevy shortbed.

Nice truck. A little Bondo and some paint, it will be as good as new.

Hope you're having nice weather and can get out to detect soon.

Been out several times, nothing but junk so far. Found an old dump pile from the railroad that had a lot of large bolts and nuts, also spikes and such. Would have been a good find twenty years ago, but it is all rusted now.
Rest in Peace

In that rail road junk -- did you find any date nails? Those are worth conserving. The prices on those has dropped over the past decade, but they're still collectable.

This pile was mostly large bolts and nuts, also some spikes of different sizes and styles. Found quite a few rail road spikes (of course), but also a bunch of others that are used for spiking lumber together.

I have seen quite a few of the date nails still in various timbers on bridges and such, never gave any thought to them being worth anything.

Oh that is not good news. I had a metal detector when I was a kid but I don't remember what company it was...
Now I have a Garrett AT Pro. Good machine but I'm getting an XP Deus after this one.

Buddy - lovely truck, and of course, don't ever paint it. I hope the wheels and tires don't match. Going to add rear wheel fenders in time?

Love the truck... and the car next to it. Looks to be a C3 corvette?

I also have a 1977 Corvette that I installed a LS1/4l60e engine/tranny into
from a 1998 Camaro. The Corvette is also on my hotrodders photo journal. The pickup has a 5.3L/4l60e from a 2002 Avalanche (engine) and 2003 Suburban (tranny)
