Didn't mean to offend you , but it does seem like the majority feels that all bands must be split . Maybe Coop can settle this controversy FSB once and for all . Also calling on Coinfrog , Moxking , Billjones ,for futher info .
this will be a matter of debate between collectors and TPG's. some collectors will stand by the grading standards of the TPG's and some may not. I believe at one time NGC required all 3 bands to be split for the designation but I think they changed that position.
from my standpoint its "Full Split Bands" not BAND. in any case, I have and always will require all 3 from a collector standpoint to meet that requirement and would not purchase a FSB coin where all 3 were not, therefore when I grade for this I will apply that standard.
my question to the TPG's would be why require both bands on the Roosevelt to receive the FT designation and not all three on Mercury to receive the FB designation? they both require an early die state that was fully struck. This should be clarified by the TPG's decision to set the standard
