Again, the surfaces are hard to see but I'll go with au53. Again, talons look worn. Surfaces look very mark free. Very nice.

AU-53 and probably cleaned at one time. Many copies exist so be careful.

Thanks bandsdean. Again, not to keep rehashing my story, but the major collection I just inherited from my grandparents hasn't been touched since the early 80's. While its been established by others on the forum that fakes have existed forever, I have faith (admittedly maybe blindly so) that since my grandparents' collection history spanned 40 years, 1--they wouldn't have fakes in their collection, and 2--the degree of "fakery" wasn't as common 30+ years ago as it is today. Nonetheless, thanks for your opinion!

Yeah those pictures are tough. It would be easier if you took it out of the holder but you might not want to do that if it was put in there by your grampap. 53 or 55 but the photos are too blurry to tell if it has been cleaned.
