Okay so I inherited a really cool machine from my grandmother, and I have been looking through all the 1982 D LMC. I found one that looks like a large date punched over a small date. Can this be a possibility.

I assume there is always the possibility in transition years but, I don't believe any are known to exist.

I'm also interested in this machine you mentioned.

No over dates are known for this year. That would require a die to have been hubbed by both master dies, unlikely, but has been known to happen (1960D/D large over small date). Looks like what you have is worn die issues on large date 82D.

I see two different coins -- a large date, then a small date. Are these the images you intended to post? Also, that's a pretty sweet machine.

Very cool! I have limited experience with these machines while working with a single vision-impaired HS student (as in I learned they existed )

I guess the question still stands. The pics you added are of a large date first, then a small date (maybe for comparison). What I'm seeing in the large date's 2 is probably just lighting.

A side note: It looks like you took a photo of the screen. Is there a way to transfer the image otherwise so that the screen resolution isn't a hurdle?

Nfine. The screen is not the original screen. My grandfather put a Samsung screen on it for my grandmother.
