Back in October we sent a Russian Coin to an eBayer in Malta. Sent First Class USPS. Short story coin never gets to customer , we refund customer and are out our $125.00 USD . All handled professionally at both ends,
No one mad , upset or accusatory. Stuff happens! After 40 plus years you do see it all.
You cannot imagine my surprise , when I go to my email this morning and see a message from the customer in Malta. Coin showed up after 5 months. Very happy with the piece and says " I guess I owe you some money!" I darn near fell off the chair at my computer!
Sent him back an email and said give me back 90 percent of the sale price and take off the postage. Within a half hour I had money in my PayPal account and an invite if I ever go to Malta! There is coin Karma!

Excellent!

It's not coin related but, my best experience selling on ebay was for some pricey Austin, TX made windchimes. It so happened that the buyer lives about 15 miles from me. He paid for shipping but that would be ridiculous! So, as I was heading in that direction anyway, I personally delivered it next day. Turns out, he was an elderly gentleman and it was a gift for his wife. Shipping refunded.

There were smiles all around and exuberant feedback left. Pleasant experiences can still happen on both sides.

That's awesome Pacificoin!
Yes, there really are a lot of nice people in the world that do the right thing.
Glad your buyer was one of them.

Joe!
Rest in Peace

Nice to see an outcome like this! I've been saying it for a long time, most people are generally honest and decent through ebay, you just usually here about the ones that are not

Great story and happy to hear there are honest people around. As a seller myself ive just had two item not received claims opened from buyers in Montreal from the same area. After having another ebay seller contacting me about the same buyer, and some investigation done by ebay, we are pretty confident that it is an ebay seller in Montreal retaliating against his competition using alternate buying accounts. So your story was indeed very refreshing. Thanks for sharing!

I like these kind of stories... A little while ago, I sent a woman named "Mo" the wrong roll of coins... she sent me a message, and upon receiving it, I apologized for my error and immediately shipped out the right roll, along with offering to pay for her to ship the wrong roll back to me... Well, instead, she decided to keep the roll and paid me the full price I was offering it for (minus the shipping)... I was very thankful for that... she's subsequently bought a couple of other rolls from me... and I'm guessing she will buy more in the future.

It's nice that there are still some good, understanding people out there who understand that we're all human.

That is awesome to hear. I bought a gold 20gram perth bar from a guy who mainly buys and doesn't sale. I was skeptical but I did it. I got it the bar was too thick looking further details kangaroo was in edge a few other things. I took to local coin shop who couldn't get a reading so I said open it..u sure. Well it's doing me no good sitting in cardboard..well we open it well of course gun registers fake different metals. Did scratch test and weight it's a big. More nervous than mad email seller with coin shops info. He apologized and said he had no clue he has been having them for months he lost his jo. Had to sale.he contacted his buyer who disappeared and didn't answer prior emails. The guy gladly went out his way to make sure I was not out if my hard wormed money. It's not a case of him purposely selling fake goods it was him being a new stacker within past year. I opened ebay case but my phone did something and closed the case. I called ebay well once a case is closed so said their is nothing they can do to reopen the case to get my money back. I didn't use PayPal but you get your but I will from now on. It was through PayPal but not using PayPal another words it did not show up in my sales summary like normal because I didn't use my account to purchase it. Well I found out that PayPal covers you through this as well even longer than ebay. So. After slot of fighting ebay on the phone with no resolution except to pass the problem to someone else like credit card company pay pal etc basically the ebay money guaranty means we will help you once you have exhausted every other means of trying to get you money back or lazy employees haven't made that out yet. Anywho Amazon put in for the refund and seller refunded my money as soon as he got it. He was a pleasure to work with I feel bad he is out . I do not know that I can purchase gold from ebay again unless a known seller like a store but I dunno your opinions on buying gold and silver from ebay new vs old seller?

On the no-no site bob I bought a few coins from a seller I completely misjudged the price and paid 20 dollars to much, not noticing it I waited for my package a few days later it arrived with coins and 20 dollars inside, I phoned the seller to ask why he refunded me, and he said that I paid to much and he refunded me!
I was amazed that you still get honest people like that
