Even their listings say "graded to US standards", which is true, but like PCGS and NGC is usually one step higher than equivalent Canadian grading in the mid circulated grades.
I think it is reasonable to expect a Canadian coin seller in Canada to grade to Canadian standards, as it is reasonable to expect an American coin seller to grade to American standards... The fact the seller includes that within their listing seems to highlight their transparency... If I'm buying a British coin from England, my expectations of an EF will be vastly different than if I'm buying a British coin from Texas, simply because a British EF is entirely different than an American EF...

They charge about $60 to ship to Canada, very very few reputable US sellers charge this much, about half the Canadian coins you have listed cost less than that for both coin and shipping, if your cost is anywhere near $60 to ship these items you are in trouble. I have purchased coins from you as well and would rate you higher because your shipping, at $0, is literally, infinitely more reasonable
I am able to have low shipping on most of my items, because frankly, most of the items I sell are, as you pointed out, fairly low value. Should something go missing in transit, which can and does happen, I can live with the loss. This seller in particular sells primarily bulk lots and higher value items. Therefore, if he loses one $500 lot, that ends up costing him alot more than if I lost, over the course of the month, 20 parcels that average out at $20 each...
If you look at their shipping policies to Canada:
Quote:
US $43.00
Canada
USPS Priority Mail Express International Flat Rate EnvelopeTM
That is what it actually costs to ship that way. And I certainly do not not blame the seller for only shipping high value parcels this method...
