Is This Quarter Special At All? The N In United States Seems Odd.

luckyshamrock New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 04/08/2017 11:26 pm I'm wanting to use this coin to make a quarter ring. But, as a coin collector I'd be sick to know I'd damaged a coin that could be valuable or rare. I tried to research it myself and couldn't find anything but, to be sure I signed up here. What do you think? The N in United States seems to be shaped odd. I know it's worn as the edge of the rim is gone on both sides, but would that cause the letters to appear flattened and stretched a bit? * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

I think you're good to go to make a ring as it's essentially worth melt (about $3.25 currently), maybe a tad more for numismatic value.
