cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 04/13/2017 11:01 pm to the forum! It's a real 1969-S Lincoln Cent, but it's not the sought after doubled die. The year 1969 has many cents that exhibit Mechanical Doubling. It has fooled a lot of people. You coin is also an example of a slightly misaligned die. Report this Post to the Staff

I am sure the experts on this forum will comment about the off-center strike of your coin and how common it may or may not be. I am impressed about the quality of your picture, and welcome you to this forum. It looks like you have a "keeper" for a coin of this age and condition even if it may not be of extreme value. I found it kinda of interesting because when I zoomed in it has like a different texture to it. It looks porous. I ask I'm i allowed to continue posting on this post page or start a new posts?
