I also hope it stays that way so I can save some cash. I may be looked on as weird but I only buy coins/products that have some additional investment potential attached...intrinsic doesn't cut it if there is a 100-200% premium added.
There will be plenty available for the true collectors and that's fine with me but they won't be added to "my bag". Lots of silver medals, rounds and trinkets to collect out there with a much lower premium
But...stay turned and watch that product/mintage limit change

Pre-sale ebay prices are in the $125.00 - $140.00 range.

Now THAT'S ridiculous..for a product that right now has no HH and mintage limits
Note: there have been zero sales at that price...shocking!
I guess they can put a BIN at $500 each. Doesn't mean anyone will pay that price

I guess they are trying to appeal to the ignorant or those who are flush with ebay bucks.

Quote: I may be looked on as weird but I only buy coins/products that have some additional investment potential attached... Not really weird. It's simple. You're an investor, not a collector, but you can be involved in this hobby for whatever reason you choose. In the end, though, investors care about profits, not numismatics. This is true in many, many other hobbies as well. The attached premiums on modern US Mint products is substantial, I agree. This is why I'm beginning to consider waiting this issue out. I spoke with a colleague of mine the other day, and he said that he no longer buys direct from the mint. He said that he's been successful in purchasing certain issues at below retail at least 2 years after their initial release. So I'm thinking I may start trying this out on the "no mintage limit" products I actually want. I'm pretty impatient, though, especially for those must-have releases.

No clue why they just can't just man up and put a price on this item. Do they really think silver will skyrocket in the next 9 days? The mintage limit is another issue altogether but a price? Just do it.....

I agree. Not sure why they are holding out.

It looks like the opening price is $59.95.
The release I read makes no mention of purchasing limits so I may have a chance at this one.

So $59.95 for (so far) and unlimited mintage medal. Last year's edition with a 12,500 mintage was $25 cheaper...EACH! The popular proof ASE is even $5 cheaper. Nope...not for me at that price. Still waiting for the official price to show up...seems way to up there to be real.. $39.95 would be more in the ballpark Edited to add: Guess I'm gonna save some cash Nope..it's real: https://www.usmint.gov/news/press-r...25SilverCoin

^ I agree with you. I guess you end up paying for the booklet and fancy packaging. But at that price and given the unlimited mintage the US Mint can stick them where the sun...
