Thank you for the update, New1954

I believe, that the signed item will be popular at-least for the short / mid term.

I don't know, if fans haven't been tired from this endless staff, but always will be someone who ready to get it, and since it "limited" - the demand will be.

I have the signed William Shatner print from last year and ordered this one as well, my only beef with ordering from Canada Post is it can take months for delivery.

Looks like they've eliminated the VIP discount at CA...points only.

Greetings Looney4Numi
FYI... I ordered both new Star Trek coins from CA and received both my VIP discount and points. It's this type of loyalty benefits from a local coin shop which is quickly eroding my Masters Club standing

Great to see a new member.

Actually, Colonial Acres has removed the Members Only section. You can't even order new releases.

It works for me now...must have been temporary. (either that or I was half asleep) lol

I agree that CA and CC&C offer much better benefits. I'm down to MC Platinum now and probably won't even qualify next year.

I don't see any advantage in buying from RCM now, especially with the 7% tax for BC customers.

P.S. Welcome to the forum, CdnCoinGuy, and thanks for the post.

@Looney4Numi,

You weren't imagining things. Colonial Acres had the points but not the VIP discount in the members only section for new releases. Now they even got rid of the members only section.

See the screen grab for the new releases from CA on previous page. Note the points but not the VIP discount.

Thanks, MoneyPenney.

Ok, so I'm not crazy...just confused. They must have had both the VIP discount and points in the members only section for at least a short time. Otherwise, CdnCoinGuy wouldn't have been able to take advantage of both.

I placed an order last month using both points and VIP discount, but the next day the page disappeared. I'm beginning to wonder if they put it up for only a day now (for the early birds).

The Star Trek coins were not part of the May releases so CdnCoinGuy got both points and VIP discounts.

That explains the Star Trek coins, but what about the disappearing Members section? It was up one day and gone the next. (I'm not the only one who saw this). When I called CA to ask about the disappearing section that was available the day before all I got from the person was "There's nothing in the Members section."

lol...this is driving me crazy.

There is no more members only section on CA. The link is gone.

The link still works for me: "Welcome to Colonial's Members' Only section!"

However, there's nothing displayed.

Thanks for the warm Welcomes fellow collectors.

I'm definitely hoping that the red is a bit less "neon" on the actual coin. The base design is OK and the new micro maple leafs in the background that form an underlying spherical globe add a level of interest not seen in other versions of the design.

I've been collecting RCM's standard silver double dollar proof sets since 1995 but the 2017 set (mentioned earlier in this forum and now received as Advance Product Notice) is a tough one to order. For my taste, it's too much of a potpourri of colours and artistic interpretations and that "150" red enamel is too loud. However as 'commems' noted, the underlying design is unique. I suspect CA is of the same opinion since they are offering this coin (to VIP members with your login) separately from the proof set. As for my DD proof set collection, I'll need this one to complete it but figure I'll wait a few years for the price reduction -- since I'm pretty sure this year's won't be a sellout.

Odd that C/A no longer has the newest coins in the members only section....maybe the RCM asked them to take them down until public release?

Anyway, $67.90 seems steep for just the SD from the 99.95 silver dollar set.
