Toby you linked an 1893-P from NGC and an 1893-S from ebay.. The 1893-S is a rare Morgan bringing top dollar in any grade.. |

Also the denotation for silver dollars is even more confusing as the 1893 (or any) Philly issue is often written as: 1893 S$1. |

Thanks, yeah that's what confused me I just realised. When you search it on NGC, the top link comes up as 1893 S$1, so I presumed that was the San Francisco coin.

Personally, I think the coin grades G-04. Bet anything it'll be cracked.

I think it looks really good for the grade. Have seen much much worse at that level.

IMHO, this 1893-S is a textbook G-4 and PQ for that grade. It's a perfect hole-filler!
