Hello I have found this 1870 Shield nickel and I was wondering if anyone would have more information on this coin possibly and idea of maybe a grade for it and more on value of coins such as this and any other interesting facts would be great thank you

Well, it was made in 1870, and it is 147 years old. It's not a pretty coin by any stretch, but worth 'roundabout $30.

IMHO, given the ED on this 1870 nickel, it's closer to being a $10 coin than a $30 one. Here's a comparable specimen on ebay with a $10 BIN or Buy It Now price ...

There are others in that price range. Environmentally Damaged, ED, coins are typically valued below "book" price.
