How Do You Distinguish Between Extra Material To Doubled Die?

I tried to take a picture of them but I can't get one without it being blurry Any advice on how to take a good pic of it. ace_ftw Pillar of the Community Canada 1747 Posts	Posted 04/25/2017 3:15 pm Doubling will be obvious, you can trace the doubling around the letter or object, if you are thinking about a die chip, then the blob will protrude off the object in one small area. Report this Post to the Staff

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 04/25/2017 4:06 pm No on die chips/breaks/cracks and even Cuds unless these you want to catalogue and collect. Not much of a market or investment value in these. Some DDO / DDR/RPM have high value depending on rarity, but those are just that, rare, seldom found in circulation. Not impossible, but I would buy meteor insurance before expecting to find one!! Report this Post to the Staff

Don't know if a Cud or a double dye. The area is on the right at the very top of leaves. What do you think. I do hope the pic will be okay for you to look at. This is a 2003 dime.
