Burglars Crash Car into Coin Shop
http://www.ozarksfirst.com/news/bur...op/710937304

Over the past decade there have been quite a few instances where burglars have rammed cars into storefronts. I think the use of bollards (large metal or stone posts, placed in concrete on the perimeter of the structure) and other sturdy architectural elements may be needed to help prevent further use of vehicles to ram buildings.
Rest in Peace

Very sad.

This sort of crash and grab happens monthly in Chicago. This is the first time I've heard of it happening to a coin shop. It's just such a shame.

Similar thing happened to a coin shop in St. Louis a few weeks ago. The vehicle was unable to penetrate the building however.

IMHO this type of assault on peaceful orderly society should be punished by firing squad . .

Seems like something like that is just a natural cost of doing business if you're a coin/PM dealer. Though I really don't know, since I'm not one. Maybe it's more economical to go with an insurance policy than to invest in bollard installation or heavy vaults.

Also tends to be a problem with jewelry stores and gun shops.
