It is bigger, but that is normal for the 1973 cents.

I'm curious about the initials being larger and the G being tilted. What years/MMs had this and why?

This is known as RDV-003 and only the 1973 cents have it.
This reverse design was used at all three mints that year.

I have been watching for a transitional error on these, but haven't found anything yet.
