It may have environmental damage giving it a darker color. New pics out of the 2x2 would help, but the overall color and lack of luster in those pics isn't promising. Thanks for posting! While they are widely known for 1958-9, there is always the technical possibility for them to exist in other years. coin-collector-1 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 02/21/2019 11:52 am I actually have a Statehood Quarter, dime and nickle examples of the black beauty... I'll have to get home and take picks of all three and post. Just wondering if there has been known to be a black beauty State Quarter, Washington quarter or even a post 64 dime? Any been attributed? Can't seem to find info on anything but nickles with that lable and know this State Quarter is one for sure because it has no damage and is black on both sides with month luster apparent on all I own..
