@HumblePie Appears to just be environmental damage, but it's a very nice clipped planchet! I would be skeptical of any coin being called a "black beauty" that isn't in mint state with high luster. Too many ways a nickel can take on a darker color through environmental damage.

To tell you the truth I've never heard of BB's with dates from the 70's and beyond . But I love that clip .

Thank you! I knew it was a long shot but I thought I would ask. A true BB with a Clip would be a nice find I would assume. I do have 3 rolls of Nickels that have not been opened yet. 1954 S, 1964 D, 1958 D. I guess I will open them soon and see what I can find.

I have several BB 1958s that should pull a FS designation or get close to it anyway. Just not sure what their final MS Grade may be.

What do you all think the value would be of a 1958 Jefferson Black Beauty, with a full step designation?

T-BOP, I would, but there aren't any. There have only been 5 graded total, and I have 4 of them. Trying to determine what the price point on them would be.

They should be back in hand from grading on Wed, along with my 1955 Black Beauty. I'll post some pics then.

Can I see the reverse side of those 1955 slabs ? In my opinion they just don't look like BB's .
