Has anyone ever seen this extra metal on his tie?

Tie looks normal to me. Could you zoom in on the part you're seeing as an anomaly?

There can be no such thing as extra metal on a coin. The planchets are the same weight, the strike controls where where metal flows. The mint mark, die chips, Cuds do not add weight. The weight is the planchets weight. They can be less, when the coin wears, thinned planchets, acid dipping and incomplete planchets. But missing parts of the die do not add to the weight to the coin. The only way this could happen is if part of the die was struck into the coin. Then it would be magnetic.

Could be what looks like a Die Chip at the tie. The 1969 edition of "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" by Jean Cohen has 25 listed for the 1958D in the section "DIEBREAKS AT TIE"

To me the last image looks like a contact mark on the edge of the beard altering that area. So in that case it would be moved metal. ( PSD)
