I love Seated Liberty coins. My favorite design. Everything from the Half Dime up to the half dollar. I don't own any Seated dollars though. Probably have 250 Seated coins in 2x2's and another 50 that are slabbed. My favorite is the 1861 O half dollar. I own probably 25 examples of that coin alone.

I really enjoy the pre-motto quarters and half dollars, even in low grades. One of my favorites of any coin type is the "with rays" variety.

Beautiful coin. I love the 1853 one year variety as well for both quarters and halves. I have an NGC VF35 1853 half. They are tough to get for a good price since they are a one year type

Seateds are nicest in original EF condition with circulation cameo.

Ironically, my very first Seated Liberty just came in the mail!
Shes an 1873 arrows.
I truly love the obverse on seateds. The reverse could be better. Perhaps the reverse of a walker?
Just my opinion though. Ill post pics in a sec...

As long as were on this type, can any of the more experienced collectors of this type tell me if this is doubling, deterioration, or Cud?

Nice, the 1873 is a somewhat better date too. Definitely harshly cleaned, but XF details. I like it

I really enjoy the Seated series, especially in my U.S. Type Set, susequently I have expanded on to my 19th Century Everyman Set, which includes more Seated series coinage.

Here is a relatively new purchase;
