I found this coin stuck to painters tape on one side in an old garage sale in a rusty old coin box. Not the most taken care of collection. Had some cool old coin articles. Anyway, even though it looks like Lincoln played in the swamp I think there is some doubling. For one I don't know how to clean off tape. It's not too bad. Figure soak it in somethimg. Secondly, despite the debris I think this think might be a fun coin...hopefully

Try soaking it in acetone for a while but make sure it is pure acetone with on other additives.

Try a pure acetone soak (I get it in the Wally World paint section). If the residue is heavy, you may have to use a physical form of removal. Start with an acetone soaked Q-tip and then a toothpick if necessary.

I'm not sure about doubling but, it will definitely help to remove all that gunk!
