This is not a rant or rave regarding some drama but the polar opposite. It is more of a 1st word issue that can be easily answered if any members have used this particular auction house.
Have any of you used Solidus Numismatik ? If yes then could you please tell me your experience regarding the time taken to receive an invoice for your lots won. I am asking this because it has now been 10 days since the auction ended and I have heard nothing from them, I have already sent an e-mail but that got no reply. Am I being impatient ( the norm for other auction houses is 1-2 days ) or should I fire off another e-mail ? Many thanks, Damion

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'd send another email or give them a call.

I would certainly try a phone call... I waited around 2 weeks one time with a different European auction house, turns out they had entered my email address wrong, and I would have never received it if I had not called!

I buy from Solidus.
Did you bid through the house, or through one of the bidding agencies (Sixbid, biddr)? If you use a service it can take the house longer to send the invoice than it does to download it from the service. So if you use a service, get the invoice through them.

I never had problems with Solidus , if you buy on ebay , you know immediatly what to pay , once paid I receive the coin on 4/5 days . With the auction also , there is no problem , but it takes a little more time to get the coin .Ten days is not normal , you receive the invoice at the lastest the day after .albert

Thanks for the answers everyone LRB, I normally use biddr but for some reason this option was never offered during registration so my bids were via the house. It looks like something has gone awry in the post sales department from what You (lrb) and Albert have said so action is certainly needed. It is a little late to ring now so I will send another e-mail shortly and then ring them 1st thing in the morning. I will do an update once I have been in touch with them. Thanks again, Damion

Did you get a satisfactory response from them?

It turned out that the problem was my end I rang them and the lady I spoke with was extremely pleasant and very understanding, she issued another invoice which also failed to show up in my inbox For some unknown reason my filter had sent the invoice straight to the junk box, guess what else I found there when I opened it up A little embarrassing to say the least. I would have to give the customer services 10/10 based on this experience, I just need the coins to arrive now for them to get a bonus star. Thanks, Damion

Unfortunate update on this company from biddr via email (not sent to me personally, so please correct me if I've got this wrong): Quote: We would like to inform you that an insolvency proceeding over the assets of Dr Robert Stark (owner of Solidus Numismatik e.K.) was filed on 6 March 2026. Attorney Dr Marco Liebler has been appointed as the provisional insolvency administrator. His contact details are as follows:
Dr Marco Liebler Nymphenburger Str. 4 80335 Munich Germany Phone: +49(89)120260 Email: info@gl-law.de
If you have claims against Solidus Numismatik e.K., or Dr Robert Stark respectively, for example due to lots that have been paid for but not delivered, we recommend that you contact the provisional insolvency administrator. He can record your claim and keep you informed about the further progress of the insolvency proceedings.
Please note that the formal filing of claims is only possible after the insolvency proceedings have been formally opened and creditors have been invited to file their claims by the competent insolvency court. However, the provisional insolvency administrator can already note your claim and inform you about the next steps. Hope no one here has been adversely affected.

I'm a bit concerned with Numismatisches Antiquariat Lang, which is a newer numismatic literature house in the same city that has some connections to Solidus.
I'm still waiting on an invoice from their auction back in December as well an an invoice from their most recent auction in February.
