Ahoy Matey! When they aren't protecting our coastlines and waterways, I guess USCG grades coins (j/k).

So what's your grade on this, and what do you think they graded it? (And it's not a rotated die, it's my photo skills).

As you all know,I am not good at grading but I will give it a go. AU-55 "bugs Bunny". They most likely gave it a MS grade of some sort. I have not heard of this grading company.

I have only one Morgan slabbed by USCG.
United States Coin Grading has nothing to do with the Coast Guard.
I feel the coin I have is overgraded.

When did the Coast Guard get involved with coin grading?

Just to clarify, the coin grading company is, as nutmeg said, United Stated Coin Grading, and not the US Coast Guard. I was just having fun referencing the US Coast Guard. Carry on.

I forgot about this.

USCG (United States Coin Grading) gave this an MS65 Bugs Bunny.

The nice thing about this, is I have learned through the guru's here at CCF that a slab like this is a raw coin. Because of that, I paid AU money.

Now should I leave it in the 'slab' as protection, or crack it and put it in my BF Dansco as a variety, which is really just the extra holes at the end of page 2?

Photograph the coin in the slab before cracking it out and putting it in a place of honor on Page 2 of your Dansco.
