Quote: Can I scan the coin with my printer or is that a no no? I've never tried that before, so I don't know. I take all my photos using a microscope, because that allows me to zoom in on all the tiny details.

Your pictures don't allow us to do anything with them. Can you please do scans....not photos. The scans we need is the 10c and $1 next to each other on the queens head side

I tried the scanner with another coin & it wasn't that good. A microscope? I might try that? I just took a few more, there a bit clearer. Excuse the lint, I just put on a fresh pair of gloves.

I not sure if I'm allowed to on here but I could email them to you if that helps. I will try the scanner & a microscope. If that doesn't work I will go into town & see who can help me out with some macro shots. Cheers

In my humble opinion it looks like a professional creation and not a mule. That said, if I saw it on ebay I would be bidding big for it, as would others I suspect, as it looks so good. What are people thinking about this coin? Genuine? Fake?

That's the problem. If it's genuine, then I'd pay heaps for it, but if it's a fake, then I wouldn't pay anything.

"In my humble opinion it looks like a professional creation" What makes you think that? How would it have been created. At this point I am thinking "it was made at the mint like that", but until more show up in circulation (and I think they should have by now) it could be mint sport.
"Not circulated" and "current owner paid for it - not found it" both lean towards "mint sport" rather than away from it.

What are people thinking about this coin? Genuine? Fake?" What makes you form this opinion? Now the reason I want scanner pics is to super impose the 10c on top of the $1. With a scanner pic I know that the coins are on a flat surface and taken in the same resolution with no shadowing. In other words scanner pics give no distortion because there is no skill (or more to the point lack there of from the photographer).

I will accept that for I am not a photographer in any way , Lol. I will scan it with a 10c coin when I get home from our ride. I weighed it this morning on 2x sets of scales. Its not 9g as it should be but the 2016 pictured is a bit over to? so were a few others, I might go grab a expensive set of scales so I know for sure. # Or should I just put it on ebay & hope I get what I paid for it back? Its becoming a headache.

I'm sure no expert but my gut feel is it's one of two things, either a genuine coin from a very short mint run before they detected the error, or mint sport. There are plenty of mint sport offerings bringing big bucks at auction these days, so I would be tucking it away for a while and then letting collectors fight for it at auction (not ebay).

its becoming a headache because you are not going through the process you need to go through to get what needs to be done. A small number of us have jumped through the hoops with the RAM to verify (or not to verify) something. You need to follow their advice and do the photography that is asked rather than taking photos that wont prove anything and hope for the best.
It takes time to do these things and it will be many months before you get the answers you need.
