That ebay guide is hilarious.

I have come up with my own line of humour and reality from buying coins on Trade me (A New Zealand ebay style online auction). Most of the sellers are honest but seem to overgrade their coins to heaven so here is the official

TRADE ME COIN CONDITION - TRANSLATION GUIDE.

Here you take the condition of the coin offered on Trade Me and translate it to its real condition.

Trade me condition --------- Real life condition

Genuine -------------------- It's a flat disc
nearFine/aFine -------------- Poor to FAIR
Fine ------------------------- Good at best
near VF ---------------------- You can be sure its a full GOOD
VF --------------------------- Very Good at best
near EF ---------------------- good Very Good
EF/Xtra Fine/XF -------------- Fine if you are lucky
AU --------------------------- goodFine
UNC -------------------------- Very Fine
Gem UNC ---------------------- Cleaned Very Fine
Flawless --------------------- gVF with damage

Other comments

It's been through 2 wars ---------- And was used as target practice in both
Really Historic ------------------- It is an old penny from 1964
Conversation piece ----------------We can have a conversation about how misdescribed it is.
Super Rare ------------------------Last one of 50 I had left to sell
Slight damage --------------------- Coin is incomplete
Small Hole ------------------------The coin looks like a donut
Some stains ----------------------- Coin is unreadable
Rare example ---------------------- It's rare you will find one this bad.

Funny but true

This reminded me. The show was a must see growing up.
Watching the ensemble cracking up at each other's jokes was especially funny. Coffee for 10 cents?

I had been digging for a long time today.

Down in the hole I found a box full of Silver coins!
In the excitement I almost ran back indoors to tell my wife.
Then I remembered why I was digging the hole...
