reverse looks prooflike. Slabbed by NGC. What do you think it graded? Also, this is a pricy coin given its grade. Would you ever consider cracking out of the slab to place in an typeset album or would you keep it slabbed?

This is probably graded au-55. I don't like what's going on with liberty's chin. When you get into expensive coins it's better to keep them in the slab unless you are 100% confident that you will not need to sell them in the next 5 years.

AU-58, but an MS grade from NGC would not surprise me.

I would not crack this out of the slab. If you want to fill the 7070 hole, just stick a lower grade coin in the album and save this one as is, it's money in the bank.

Makes sense. Thanks everyone. The chin details are disturbing. I will post the NGC grade after more people give opinions!

58. reverse is better than 58.

reverse could well be 64. obverse falls short of ms imho as the luster is muted which suggests rub.

I missed getting in on this before the reveal but I don't see the slightest trace of wear, though the chin dimples do distract. MS62 is probably more accurate.

When you get into these high grades it's really hard for people to determine wear, hence, the AU grades that people posted. You really need to see the coin in hand to study sliders/mint state coins to accurately grade them. I'd never crack out this coin if it graded 64. That chin mark should have brought it down but it must have other redeeming qualities to offset it.
