Hmmmm, not sure. Can you take a closer picture? It could have taken a major hit (Post Mint Damage) or possibly a die chip. I'm leaning toward PMD. There's something happening under the N in one as well.
I see what you're talking about with the "I" taking a hit and moving it towards the D. But could you please explain how that would not happen in the mint because that part of the "I" or chip is still there, it didn't just fall off and disappear like it would PMD. If anyone could explain that to me, I would be very grateful.
Depending on the scopes lens. If it is plastic, it usually does not work as well. If they used a glass lens, then they would have a lot better ocular. So depending on which it has. (plastic lens often make cents look pink and silver color coins not gray)
