Time for definitions (tounge in cheek)
Knight
a. • Abbr. Knt. or Kt. A medieval tenant giving military service as a mounted man-at-arms to a feudal landholder.(Me thinks the landholder in this case is Susan) b. Abbr. Knt. or Kt. A medieval gentleman-soldier, usually high-born, raised by a sovereign to privileged military status after training as a page and squire. (I've read page affter page about sovereigns- I even own a few, but know nothin about squires) c. Abbr. K. A man holding a nonhereditary title conferred by a sovereign in recognition of personal merit or service to the country. (In our cases absolutely nonhereditary- unless coin collecting runs in the blood- and by posting except for these silly post we give some service or merit to the community- on second thought these posts may be entertaining- still out for a vote) • Abbr. Knt. or Kt. A man belonging to an order or brotherhood. a. • A defender, champion, or zealous upholder of a cause or principle. (Oh yes the brother/sisterhood of the forum which is comprised of a bunch of Zelots) b. The devoted champion of a lady. (Susan and the other fair maidens of the forum)
Knight errant the typical knight errant of Arthurian romance wandered in search of adventure and of chances to prove his bravery and his chivalry. The word errant comes from French, which also has the term chevalier errant. In this phrase, both in English and in French, errant means 'wandering or traveling'. The term has sometimes been used in ridicule, especially in allusion to the most famous post-Arthurian-romance knight errant, Cervantes' Don Quixote, who went about tilting at windmills. (This more describes me the Don Quixote of coins chasing coins that may not exist [for my budget] searching the world for a goal that I will never obtain- dreaming the impossible dream- collecting all teh lovely Aussie coins of my hearts desire)

rggoodie, even though now a Knight, asks the meaning of his august honor.
The answer: "Requirements for membership include stimulating Australia's economy through the purchase and promotion of their beautiful coins, as well as being all-around good and helpful people."
Fred asks if he might become a Knight after he wins the 500 member contest.
The answer: Certainly!

Lemmesee if we can scrounge one up. How about Florence Knightingale? There's Irene Good Knight; will she do? And we can always turn knight into day (aka 40 days and 40 knights). (Sri - I couldn't hold it back any longer - thank Old Dan for that!) The knight has a thousand eyes. T'was the knight before Christmas. Good knight, sweet prince. Good knight, my love. Knighty-knight? I'm just getting warmed up. Fred

We really can't tell you about the Knights of the Coin Table as the whole program is shrouded in secrecy so if we tell you we would have to kill you and, of course, confiscate all your coinage (we take currency too!) so you should wait to be admitted and take the sacred oath (soon as we make one up) and swear to become a loyal servant of all the world coins you can get your paws on. Currently working on a membership card and may have to look in to having a Knight Coin (token) minted for everyone to carry in their pocket or to display proudly! Will keep everyone posted on this fever pitched movement as we progress forward as Knights and Ambassadors of the Darkside!!! Chivalry is alive and well in the Coin World!!!

The French Canadians made a terrific remake of D'artagnan and the three musketeers At least consider inviting Lady de Winter ( Contesse de Fere )
