I would appreciate your thoughts on these 2. I'm stuck between 2 grades on both and am looking for opinions. Thank you in advance for playing.

i am at 40 on both coins. need more clasp detail, and more hair detail on obverses. eagle weak on head, claws and arrow details. both have nice residual luster in recessed areas.

RE 1824 .... I had that exact same kind of small light green spot(s) on a couple coins. It practically floated away in a short dip in acetone. Lifted itself right off with a light sweep of a Q tip while submerged. Then a rinse in distilled water will save you a later issue. Now is the time to do it right.

These both are very nice coins! Both may hit 45, but I think moxking got it right

35 and 40 would be the conservative grades and while they might go up 5 points, neither coin looks close to AU to me.

Coin 1 35-40, pvc residue both sides, looks to be retoning over a dip job.
Coin 2 30-35, looks to be retoning as well, note the identical color and surfaces to coin #1

I have often seen bust halves struck better on one side than the other. I see this in both of these beautiful examples. EF 45 would be a conservative grade for both.
