It's about a quarter in size and seems to be made of silver. Any idea of where it comes from, its age or value? Thanks in advance!

It appears to be a 1960's silver temple/gift token
I found it here http://www.anythinganywhere.com/com...a-ramtan.htm

It is a silver token of Lakshmi, but not a temple token. These .999 silver rounds are popular as gifts for birthdays, weddings and New Year.
