@ImTBM;
Like I said; It was more of an issue of moving soon. If I was 10-15 years younger, I probably would still have them. Comes a time in most of us, when downsizing becomes a priority.

For sure...I guess that's why we still hunt. All of these coins coming from collections back into circulation keeps the dream of finding some gems alive.

I took a look at the Web coins site on ebay. This would explain my difficulty in finding silver coins as well as the copper coins in the central PA / Eastern PA area. I traveled all over Pennsylvania and picked up rolls of coins at local banks. Central PA and the Philadelphia area always had the lowest percentage of silver coins in the bank wrapped rolls. Looks like pennies are going this way to. If I had the free storage space and the extra cash. I would be hoarding copper pennies too. Maybe I could bury them in a state game lands and leave a treasure map to my grandkids to be opened 50 years from now?

WOW I am so mad that Strings & Sons here on the east coast is taking all the pre 1982 cents out they wrap the coins for all the banks around here.
I never saw such junky cents in my life as what are in rolls today. Not sure where they find so many dirty junky cents guess the cent coin roll hunting days are over.
I have been getting a few nice 2000 and up cents in some rolls though so I did keep them.
Anyway so sad that the cent coin roll days are over better get a lot's of nickel rolls they are probably next.

Brucec, did you notice the link Bobby posted a page or so ago regarding a Webcoins of PA? If you look at who owns this outfit that is sacking the copper it is none other than String itself! Say that pretty well wraps up the copper market in your area don't it?

Well I give UP first Strings & Sons take all the copper cents out so I switch to nickel roll hunting. The first time I got 10 rolls WOW almost all of them were keepers in very good shape.
BUT now First National Bank must tell the tellers if anyone asks for rolls to give them CRAP. I got 10 rolls of nickles from one branch they were the most beat up coins I have ever seen. So today I go to a different branch and get 10 rolls of nickles and cents. The nickles were machine wrapped but again were all CRAP the 10 rolls of cents were hand wrapped and they were all crap.
The darn bank has me so mad I may switch banks they have to be telling the tellers to give as I said people that ask for a large number of coin rolls CRAP.
Will be a pain in the butt with all the direct deposits I have but I am going to maybe switch.
Is anyone else experiencing this new trend with their bank?

I am very surprised reading this topic. I don't know if it is just a Minnesota thing or not, but I seem to do just fine with copper cents in NF String Rolls. Fine is relative of course, and I do not pull out all of the copper cents, I only pull the pre 70s. But, that being said I average over 100 60's copper cents EVERY $25 I buy.

My last 10 boxes here in FL have averaged right at 18% copper. But I did get one box that was someones dump. I didn't notice it wasn't sealed until I got home, and when I started going through the Customer wrapped rolls, it was obvious. I stopped after $9 and took it back.
