This is a tough one to distinguish but hopefully someone out there can tell the difference. Is this the 88 or 89 initials?
1988-Or-1989-Cent-Reverse?

John1 thanks for the link! That is a great example of the two. The initials on my coin look like the 88 but this is a 89 coin.

I am still learning too, but this is a 1989 penny. The G has the bar across top and extended lower point.
