I found a 1973 s penny and was wondering if its worth anything or is it just to be saved for my collection of coins I also have a 1968 s.

If you like it, then by all means keep it for your collection. It has no real premium unless it's super nice.

When I first started CRHing four years ago, the 73S was a real bugger to find...then I realized you could buy a whole roll of 50 Uncirculated BU's for about $2, then I stopped looking for just any example. Now I have 6 of the 7 S-mints in rolls except the 71S and no longer searh for them other than to check for errors.

with above, a very high grade,uncirculated one carry's a premium,but one found in circulation,not really.

As said above the Lincoln Memorial S mints of 68-74 are not really a big deal unless you find them in full red with no problems . Then you can card a few and store them away .
